Accountant – Zeus 4x4

Location: Dandenong 3175

As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team and help drive our financial performance and strategic growth.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business while providing valuable financial insights to support decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, growing business and wants to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, PAYG, and other statutory obligations.
Manage payroll, superannuation, and payroll tax compliance.
Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts.
Assist with budgeting and financial planning.
Analyse financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability.
Maintain fixed asset registers and inventory accounting.
Liaise with external accountants, auditors, banks, and government agencies.
Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and taxation requirements.
Support continuous improvement of financial systems and internal controls.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance.
CPA or CA qualification (or working towards completion) preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a similar accounting role.
Strong understanding of Australian taxation and financial reporting requirements.
Experience with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or similar ERP systems.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the wider team.

Highly Regarded

Experience in wholesale, manufacturing, automotive, retail, or e-commerce environments.
Experience managing inventory and cost-of-goods accounting.
Experience improving financial systems and business processes.
