SC 2 Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively with members of the school community including students and the capacity to provide support and/or attendant care to students where necessary. Highly developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary educational team.
SC 3 Demonstrated proficiency in the use of office systems, software or technical equipment as relevant to the position.
SC 4 Capacity to work cooperatively with a range of people including teachers, education support, students and parents.
SC 5 Demonstrated capacity to support and supervise students safely within a school environment, including the classroom, yard duty, and excursions.
SC 6 One of the core responsibilities of schools is to keep children safe. Ministerial Order 870 and the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority, (VRQA) outline the responsibilities of schools for child safety.

Check uniform - Remember, year 12 students are only allowed to wear PE uniform on Thursday, and year 11 on Wednesday and Friday. Check with Senior School Reception if you are unsure about a student

Circulate with regularity to ensure students meet expectations

Keep the Senior School area neat and tidy and report any damage or mess

To manage and supervise students in the Senior Centre during study periods.
Arrive on time, to greet students at the door and implement the entry routine by checking uniform and learning materials.

Mark the assigned classroom roll (on compass).
Actively supervise students by circulating and reducing engagement in tasks that hinder awareness.

Provide clear instructions throughout the supervision session, including expected behaviour, reminder that the learning session is silent and device use is limited to laptops, do not leave without permission.

Guide students through the exit routine to ensure the space is left clean and orderly for the next session.
Individuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.
