Salary: $79,000 - $80,000 per annum

We are seeking multiple experienced Structural Steel Boilermakers / Welders / Fabricators to join our growing team in Dandenong South. This permanent role supports the continued success of our project management and fabrication operations.

Key Responsibilities

Reviewing blueprints, technical drawings and project specifications.
Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock, fabrication tools and equipment.
Cutting marked-out steel sections and components using appropriate hand tools, cutting equipment and metal fabrication machinery.
Rolling, bending, shaping, heating and hammering metal components to fabricate parts and subassemblies.
Aligning steel parts and components using measuring instruments and fabrication tools prior to joining.
Performing welding, bolting and riveting at assemble structural steel components.
Inspecting welds and fabricated components for accuracy, quality and compliance with specifications.
Finishing products though cleaning, polishing, filing and other required finishing processes.
Cleaning and smoothing welds using grinding, chiselling and filling techniques.
Following all Work Health and Safety procedures, including correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Applying relevant Australian Standards, legislation and industry regulations.
Repairing machinery, steel structures and other components by welding parts and filling gaps as required.
Testing and inspecting welded surfaces and structures to identify defects, faults or inconsistencies.
Maintaining tools, welding equipment and machinery in safe working condition.

Skills & Qualifications:

· Minimum 1 year of relevant structural steel fabrication experience.

· Advanced experience in Structural Steel fabrication (minimum 1 year).

· Certificate III and IV in Engineering (mandatory).

· Diploma of Engineering – Advanced Trade (mandatory).

· Able to work independently or as part of a team.

· Strong commitment to safety and compliance.

· Ability to meet project deadlines and quality requirements.

· Availability for shift work if required.

· Reliable, proactive, positive attitude and strong work ethic.
