Job Summary:
The Business Analyst Team Lead (Engage) is a hands-on leadership role responsible for delivering high-quality business analysis outcomes across HUB24’s Engage and myhub platforms, while leading and developing a team of Business Analysts.
This role partners closely with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to shape initiatives, clarify complex problems, and ensure delivery is aligned to measurable business value. It combines delivery accountability, people leadership, and capability uplift, playing a critical role in improving analysis practices, driving consistency, and enabling efficient, high-quality delivery within a scaled Agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead business analysis across complex, cross-functional initiatives
- Partner with Product Managers/Owners to shape roadmaps, epics, and features
- Define clear problem statements, requirements, and business outcomes
- Ensure high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, process models, and data flows
- Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and PI planning activities
- Ensure requirements are clear, testable, and aligned to business value
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Analysts
- Conduct performance management, 1:1s, and career development planning
- Set clear goals, expectations, and KPIs for the BA team
- Foster a high-performing, collaborative BA community
- Establish and improve BA standards, templates, and playbooks
- Drive consistency in ways of working across pods
- Promote best practices in stakeholder engagement, elicitation, and Agile analysis
- Mentor team members in advanced facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management
- Act as a key liaison between Product, Technology, and Business teams
- Build strong relationships with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Data stakeholders
- Support decision-making by identifying risks, dependencies, and trade-offs
- Embed BA capability within pod-based Agile delivery models
- Support end-to-end delivery across discovery, design, build, and release
- Align BA activities with Agile ceremonies, PI planning, and cross-pod coordination
- Ensure high-quality requirements to reduce ambiguity and rework
- Identify and escalate risks, gaps, and delivery challenges
- Drive continuous improvement and efficient delivery outcomes
Requirements:
- 8+ years’ experience in Business Analysis within Agile environments
- Proven experience as a Lead BA, Principal BA, or BA Manager
- Strong experience working across Product, Technology, and Data teams
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving outcomes
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe)
- Expertise in backlog management, refinement, and delivery planning
- Experience with tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
- Strong capability in requirements gathering, process modelling, and data analysis
- Ability to design clear, structured, and business-value-driven solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in financial services or wealth platforms (desirable)
- Exposure to data or analytics-driven platforms (desirable)
- Understanding of AI applications in delivery or analysis (desirable)
- Experience working in pod-based or stream-aligned team structures (desirable)
