Full Job Description

About the Role

Brisbane Water Bitumen is looking for a reliable and hardworking Asphalt Labourer to join our roadworks and asphalt crew. This role is suited to someone who enjoys physical outdoor work, can follow instructions, and works well as part of a team.

You will assist with asphalt laying, site preparation, clean-up, and general labouring duties on roads, car parks, driveways, and civil construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with asphalt preparation, laying, spreading, and compacting
Perform general labouring duties on road and construction sites
Use hand tools, rakes, shovels, brooms, and other site equipment
Help prepare work areas, including cleaning and setting up sites
Load and unload materials and equipment
Follow instructions from supervisors and machine operators
Maintain a safe and tidy work environment
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures

Requirements

Previous asphalt, civil construction, or labouring experience preferred
Physically fit and able to perform manual labour
Reliable, punctual, and willing to work outdoors
Ability to work early starts and overtime when required
Good attitude and ability to work in a team
White Card required
Driver’s licence preferred
HR/MR licence, roller ticket, or other plant tickets will be highly regarded
