Full Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Hand to join our team. This role involves assisting with the day-to-day operations of our concrete sleeper yard, including loading and unloading materials, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and supporting production and dispatch activities.

Monday - Friday 7am to 12pm - potential for 7am-3:30pm depending on licence type.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely load and unload concrete sleepers and other materials using forklifts or manual handling.
Prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Maintain yard cleanliness and organisation.
Assist with basic maintenance of equipment and tools.
Operate machinery and vehicles as required (e.g., forklift, loader).
Follow WHS procedures and report any hazards or incidents.
Support production staff with tasks as needed.
Perform stock checks and assist with inventory management.

Skills & Qualifications:

Must have previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or construction environment.
Must have Forklift licence (LF).
HR Truck License highly desireable.
Ability to perform physical labour and lift heavy items.
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
