Psychiatry Registrar – Stage 3
Temporary Full-time Position – 6-month rotation 1 February 2027 to 31 July 2027
About the Role
Ramsay Clinic Macarthur is a leading provider of private Mental Health services in New South Wales and been recently accredited for a Stage 3 Psychiatry training position.

This role offers the perfect opportunity to gain experience working within a private voluntary setting with a dedicated team of mental health professionals, delivering excellent evidence-based clinical care across our 42-bed mental health facility.

You will work closely with your Psychiatrist Supervisor and will be responsible for ensuring medical and psychiatric care including assessments, investigation, treatment and referrals are delivered in an efficient, safe and professional manner.

As well as general adult mental health, you will gain valuable clinical experience in treatment modalities such as ECT, DBT and other group therapies.

You may have the opportunity to complete your scholarly project whilst working at RCM, supervised by one of our psychiatrists.

You will have the opportunity to gain experience in out-patient private consultations, working alongside your Psychiatrist Supervisor in the out-patient consulting suites.

This role allows good work-life balance, with no on-call required or after-hours shifts.
About You
-
You are a Stage 3 Psychiatry Registrar who is interested in gaining experience and working in a private mental health setting.

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate a strong clinical skillset with prior experience working in an acute care facility.
-
You will also demonstrate exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment in collaboration with others.
You will also bring:

Current medical practitioner registration with AHPRA

Minimum of 3 years relevant clinical experience

Experience in an acute care facility as a Registrar in Psychiatry
