With 75 kindergartens and early learning services across Melbourne, our team of 1100+ dedicated people work together to create joyful and enriching learning experiences with the safeguarding of children at the centre of everything we do. We are seeking an enthusiastic Breaks Cover Educator to join our team at Washington Drive Preschool.

At Washington Drive Preschool, we believe play is the foundation of lifelong learning.

Located between Oakleigh South and Bentleigh East, we welcome children from the City of Kingston and surrounding areas. Our play-based program is designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking, tailored to each child’s interests and abilities.

Our experienced educators provide a safe, nurturing environment that supports holistic development, building confidence, independence, self-regulation, and communication skills. We value strong family partnerships and invite families to share their culture, knowledge, and experiences, enriching our program and strengthening community connections.

Work with us every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 12pm – 2pm.

About you

You're reflective, curious and purpose-led, with a deep commitment to making a difference.
You're open to learning and understanding the unique needs of every child.
You're a critical thinker and collaborative team member.
You have a drive to grow and improve continually.
You value kindness and respect.
You have great knowledge of the child safe standards and early childhood regulations.
You hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent, a WWCC, mandatory reporting certificate, police check and a first aid certificate.

About the role

You'll create a supportive environment where children are safeguarded to learn and grow.
You'll develop and implement engaging learning experiences based on the ECMS pedagogical framework.
You'll build strong relationships with children, families, the community and colleagues.
You'll actively participate in a culture of reflection and continuous improvement.
