What your day could look like
As an Enrolled Nurse, you'll play an important role in helping patients, residents and families experience safe, person-centred care. From supporting health and wellbeing goals to working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you'll contribute to outcomes that make a genuine difference across the community.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
Delivering high-quality nursing care that supports positive health, wellbeing and quality-of-life outcomes.
Partnering with Registered Nurses and the wider healthcare team to provide coordinated, evidence-based care.
Monitoring patient progress, recognising risks early and helping maintain safe, effective care environments.
Supporting quality improvement, learning and team development to strengthen care for patients and residents.
Let's talk about you!
You're someone who brings both capability and care to your role. You communicate with respect, act with integrity and take pride in delivering safe, compassionate care. Whether you're supporting an older person to maintain their independence or helping a patient through a challenging time, you'll value the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day. You're not just here to provide care, you're here to build trust, improve experiences and contribute to healthier communities.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
Registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and no medication restrictions.
Demonstrated nursing knowledge and skills in acute care, aged care or similar clinical environments.
Ability to work collaboratively, apply sound clinical judgement and contribute to safe care delivery.
Commitment to professional growth, continuous learning and quality improvement.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in rural, residential aged care or multipurpose health settings and/or additional training in intravenous medication administration.
Above all, you'll bring the values we live by at Darling Downs Health: Compassion, Integrity, Dignity, Innovation and Courage.
Together, you'll help deliver safe, person-centred care that strengthens the health and wellbeing of the community.
