About the Facility
Carmel Aged Care is a 120‑bed, purpose‑built facility in the Perth Hills suburb of Carmel, set among natural bushland about 30 minutes from the Perth CBD. The home features modern wings with private ensuites, landscaped gardens and contemporary common areas that create a calm, welcoming atmosphere.
We are looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our aged care team at Carmel Aged Care in a Full-Time capacity.
About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide strong clinical leadership and operational oversight within our aged care facility. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and person-centred care, while supporting and developing the clinical and care teams.
This is a dynamic leadership role suited to an experienced nurse who thrives on responsibility, team development, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Be Doing
- Oversee day-to-day clinical operations within the facility
- Lead, mentor, and support Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and care staff
- Ensure care delivery meets clinical standards, regulations, and organisational policies
- Oversee complex care planning, assessments, and clinical decision-making
- Monitor resident outcomes and respond effectively to changes in condition
- Collaborate with GPs, allied health professionals, residents, and families
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance practices
- Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance with aged care standards
- Support staff rostering, workload allocation, and workforce capability development
What You Will Bring
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Significant experience in aged care or acute clinical leadership roles
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Sound knowledge of aged care quality standards, compliance, and clinical governance
- Ability to manage complex clinical and operational priorities
- A calm, decisive, and solutions-focused approach
- Experience in mentoring and developing clinical teams
- A National Police Clearance or NDIS Screening Check, or willingness to obtain this
