Remuneration and Benefits

$75,600–$80,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience.
Employment conditions in accordance with the Children’s Services Award 2010 and National Employment Standards.
Supportive, close-knit team environment.

Bright Bees Early Learning is an early childhood education and care service located in Nicholls, ACT. We are committed to providing high-quality, inclusive and play-based learning while building strong relationships with children, families and the community.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality education and care for children aged birth to six years.
Plan, implement and evaluate learning programs based on the EYLF V2.0 and children’s individual interests and needs.
Maintain meaningful observations and documentation of children’s learning.
Build positive and respectful relationships with children and families.
Maintain active supervision, educator-to-child ratios and children’s health and safety.
Support children’s routines, inclusion, wellbeing and positive behaviour.
Lead and support educators, trainees, students and volunteers.
Contribute to critical reflection, service improvement and the Quality Improvement Plan.
Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standard, National Regulations and Bright Bees’ policies and procedures.
Follow all child-safety, child-protection and mandatory reporting requirements.

Essential Requirements

ACECQA-approved Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. A Diploma is preferred for the Room Leader position.
Minimum one year of relevant full-time experience, or equivalent part-time experience.
Sound knowledge of the EYLF V2.0, NQF and NQS.
Current ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration, or eligibility to obtain it.
Current First Aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis training, or willingness to obtain them.
Required child-protection and national child-safety training, or willingness to complete it.
Strong communication, teamwork and leadership skills.
A genuine commitment to child safety and inclusive practice.

Skills in Demand visa (Subclass 482) sponsorship may be considered for suitable applicants under our company-specific labour agreement. Applicants must meet all applicable qualification, experience, English-language, health, character and Department of Home Affairs requirements. Sponsorship is assessed individually and is not guaranteed.
