About the Role

Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities.

The Project Officer coordinates and supports the RPA Redevelopment, leading, developing and managing systems, procedures and processes and advising on decant logistics, commissioning, and asset management matters to successfully implement the Systems and Equipment (previously FFE) strategy and components of the Redevelopment Project. The role works closely with the Change Manager and communications personnel to ensure consultation and involvement of appropriate stakeholders as identified in the project Communications Plan.

Ideal Candidate

Experience in best practice end-to-end project delivery and management using a recognised project management methodology.
Proven record in meeting key milestones and delivering quality projects in line with budget, quality parameters and organisational objectives.
Capacity to develop understanding of the interrelationship between the construction activities and service commissioning activities in projects.
Ability to work within a diverse team and facilitate group decision making within tight timeframes, including diffusing conflict to reach consensus. Ability to work under pressure and manage in an area with changing and often competing priorities.
Organisation and time management skills to organise own work and work of others including contractors and consultants, to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
