About the role
Multiworks Australia is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team based in Brooklyn, Victoria. This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified professional to work across a diverse fleet of trucks, plant and earthmoving equipment that supports major infrastructure and civil construction projects. Working closely with our Assets & Logistics team, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing plant and equipment to ensure maximum reliability, performance and safety. This role offers a mix of workshop-based and field service work, providing variety and exposure to a wide range of machinery and equipment.
Key responsibilities

Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing on trucks, plant and earthmoving equipment
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs on diesel engines, hydraulic systems and associated components
- Conduct breakdown repairs and emergency maintenance as required
- Undertake onsite servicing and maintenance across project locations when required
- Complete inspections and ensure all equipment complies with safety and operational standards
- Maintain accurate service records, maintenance reports and repair documentation
- Liaise with supervisors and operational teams to minimise equipment downtime
- Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the workshop and yard facilities
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance processes
- Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as required to support business operations
What we're looking for

Trade Qualification as a Diesel Mechanic (mandatory)
- Demonstrated experience maintaining and repairing trucks, plant and earthmoving equipment
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across diesel engines and associated systems
- Experience working on civil construction or heavy plant equipment highly regarded
- HR or HC Licence desirable
- Forklift, plant or machinery tickets advantageous
- Strong understanding of maintenance, servicing and safety compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, safety-focused and proactive approach to work
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
