About the role

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager and based at our Tonkin Steel centre in Cairns, you will join a successful and supportive team where you'll work closely with Account Managers, Operations, and site leadership to deliver outstanding service to our customers.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop a career in estimating, with full training provided to help you learn how to interpret customer drawings, prepare quotations, process orders, and support production requirements.

What you will be doing:

Provide exceptional customer service via phone and email, responding to customer enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
Prepare and process customer quotations accurately and efficiently.
Interpret customer drawings and specifications with support and training provided.
Maintain accurate customer and order information within internal systems.

Standard hours for this role are 7am – 3pm

What you will bring:

Previous experience in customer service, warehousing, manufacturing, trade or a similar operational environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both customers and internal stakeholders.
Sound computer skills and confidence learning new systems and software.
Good mathematical skills and attention to detail when working with measurements, quantities, and pricing.
CAD experience or experience interpreting construction drawings is not essential, but will be highly regarded.
