The opportunity
At Atlas Awnings in Ballina NSW, we are seeking experienced Patio & Deck Carpenters to join our growing team. This casual position will allow you to showcase your skills in the Building Trades industry and contribute to the success of our company.
Key responsibilities
- Constructing and installing patios, decks, and other outdoor structures to the highest quality standards
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate construction
- Using a variety of hand and power tools proficiently and safely
- Collaborating with the project team to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
- Providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns promptly
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Patio & Deck Carpenter, Must have trade qualifications / additional 3 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Patio & Deck Carpenter is required
- Strong technical skills in carpentry, including the ability to read blueprints and plans
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, with a focus on safety
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to overcome challenges
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the team
- Flexibility to work a casual schedule as needed
- Australian work rights are required for this position
- Certificate III qualification is required for this role
- Construction Induction (White Card) is required before start
