About the role
Qpro Concrete Sleepers' is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team in Brisbane, QLD. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the Trades and Services industry, specifically in Carpentry and Cabinet Making. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for the construction, installation, and maintenance of various wood structures and fixtures.What you'll be doing
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the required materials and construction methods
- Measuring, cutting, and assembling wood components to construct and install structures such as walls, floors, roofs, and cabinetry
- Utilizing a variety of hand and power tools to perform carpentry tasks with precision and efficiency
- Collaborating with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure the successful completion of projects
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards
- Providing expert advice and guidance to clients on carpentry-related matters
What we're looking for
- Completion of an apprenticeship or a trade certificate in Carpentry or a related field
- Demonstrated experience as a Carpenter, preferably in the construction or home renovation industry
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
- Skilled in the use of a wide range of hand and power tools
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
