The Role
The Program Coordinator – Student Services will be responsible for students' behaviour, attendance, and social and emotional well-being. The successful applicants should have demonstrated knowledge of the Positive Behaviour in Schools framework, and a growth mind-set should be evident in their communications with students, parents and staff.
The successful applicants will ideally have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and should work collaboratively with all members of the Student Services team to support the health and wellbeing of students. They should have excellent interpersonal skills as they will need to work effectively with many stakeholders across the school and wider community. This includes, but is not limited to, parents/carers, teachers, other schools, external agencies and community groups.
The successful applicants should understand Trauma Informed Practice, adopt a restorative approach to conflict, and apply their knowledge to broker the best outcomes for students through their outstanding, complex case management skills.
The Program Coordinators – Student Services will be members of the senior leadership team and contribute to whole school review and planning. They will also be responsible for the performance development of non-teaching staff and have the ability to utilise a growth coaching approach to mentor staff on a needs basis.

Teachers and School Administrators employed at Newton Moore Senior High School in 2026 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $2 000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.
