SPYDER INDUSTRIES AUSTRALIA PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to support the company’s ICT systems and business operations at our Collie, Western Australia location.
This is a full-time position, where you will work as part of a supportive and multidisciplinary team. You will consult with business users and technical stakeholders to review existing ICT systems, assess operational requirements, and recommend practical improvements to systems and processes.

About the Role
The Systems Analyst will assess the processes, procedures, and methods used within the company’s existing ICT systems and recommend appropriate modifications, additional system components, integrations, or new systems to meet operational and user requirements.
The successful applicant will work closely with management, business users, developers, external vendors, and ICT support personnel to gather and document requirements, prepare system specifications, coordinate testing activities, and support the implementation of reliable and effective technology solutions.
Requirements
Applicants should demonstrate the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Systems Analyst, ICT Business Analyst, or in a closely related ICT systems role
- Relevant qualification in Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field
- Strong understanding of ICT systems, business processes, system workflows, and operational requirements
- Experience consulting with users to gather, analyse, formulate, and document business and system requirements
- Experience reviewing existing systems, business processes, procedures, and work practices
- Ability to identify system limitations, operational inefficiencies, integration issues, and opportunities for improvement
- Experience preparing functional specifications, system requirement documents, workflow diagrams, process models, data models, and technical documentation
- Experience supporting system implementation, integration, configuration, testing, and deployment activities
- Good understanding of system testing, user acceptance testing, defect tracking, quality assurance, and change management processes
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, ServiceNow, Google Workspace, enterprise resource planning systems, customer relationship management systems, or similar business platforms
- Ability to prepare user guides, training materials, system procedures, technical reports, and operational documentation
- Strong stakeholder communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users
- Good analytical, problem-solving, organisational, and project coordination skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to system quality, data integrity, and continuous improvement
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities
The Systems Analyst’s responsibilities will include:
- Consult with users, managers, clients, and technical stakeholders to understand operational needs and develop clear business and system requirements.
- Review and analyse existing ICT systems, business processes, procedures, workflows, and work practices to identify limitations, inefficiencies, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Evaluate existing ICT system processes and methods and recommend modifications, additional system components, integrations, or new systems where appropriate.
- Translate user and business requirements into clear functional specifications and system documentation for developers, vendors, and ICT support teams.
- Apply data modelling, process modelling, workflow mapping, and other analysis techniques to develop accurate and practical system specifications.
- Prepare business requirement documents, functional specifications, system process diagrams, data flow diagrams, process notes, and implementation documentation.
- Assess proposed system solutions to ensure they meet business requirements, operational objectives, technical standards, and user expectations.
- Work closely with developers, ICT support teams, external vendors, and business users throughout system design, configuration, implementation, and ongoing support activities.
- Assist with the preparation and implementation of system test plans to ensure appropriate levels of system quality, functionality, reliability, and data integrity.
- Coordinate and support system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, issue identification, defect tracking, and resolution activities.
- Monitor system implementation activities and confirm that approved requirements and functional specifications have been delivered correctly.
- Assess system functionality and user feedback and recommend improvements to system usability, performance, workflows, and business processes.
- Review and enhance user access procedures, account management processes, permission controls, shared data structures, and business application workflows.
- Support the rollout of functional ICT solutions and assist users during system transitions, upgrades, and changes to business processes.
- Prepare user guides, system procedures, operating instructions, training materials, and technical support documentation.
- Provide system training and practical guidance to staff and other business users.
- Act as a central point of information and provide advice and assistance during system-related planning and decision-making.
- Maintain accurate system records, configuration information, issue registers, testing records, and operational reports.
- Monitor system performance, service requests, recurring user issues, and operational incidents to support reliable day-to-day business operations.
- Assist with system-related onboarding and offboarding processes, including user accounts, permissions, application access, and system usage guidance.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and provide practical technology solutions that improve operational efficiency, system functionality, and user experience.
- Perform other related systems analysis and ICT project duties as reasonably required.
