What does the job look like?
As the AM Shift Supervisor, you’ll be at the centre of our operations, managing day-to-day transport movements and ensuring safe, efficient delivery outcomes across the contract.
This role operates on a 4 on 4 off roster from 5am to 5pm, 12-hour day shift, allowing you to enjoy a strong work-life balance while developing your leadership skills in a high-performing operational environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and controlling daily shift operations to meet production and delivery targets
- Managing company and subcontractor fleet to ensure optimal utilisation and performance
- Monitoring driver compliance across fatigue, speed, and operational requirements using systems such as FoxTrax
- Allocating work and overseeing transport movements to maintain operational efficiency and customer service outcomes
- Leading shift planning, handovers, and incident response in line with company procedures
- Completing and reviewing driver documentation including run sheets, compliance records, and reporting requirements
- Conducting safety audits, in-field observations, and promoting a strong safety-first culture
- Ensuring all operations comply with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), heavy vehicle, and site-specific regulations
- Providing leadership, coaching, and feedback to drivers to support performance and continuous improvement
- Building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and subcontractors
About you
You’re a motivated and safety-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment and can confidently manage competing priorities.
You bring:
- Availability to work a 4 on 4 off, 12-hour day shift (5am–5pm)
- Proven experience supervising transport or logistics operations, ideally within bulk haulage, mining, or specialised freight
- Strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management, and heavy vehicle compliance requirements
- Experience managing drivers and subcontractors to achieve operational and safety outcomes
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability in dynamic operational environments
- Experience using transport or fleet management systems (e.g. FoxTrax or similar)
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to build trusted relationships with drivers, customers, and key stakeholders
