12-month maternity leave contract with potential for ongoing permanent

Little Zak's Academy is privately owned and family run. Our aim is to provide early childhood care and education in a safe, welcoming, adopting and nurturing environment.

Our staff are dedicated professionals who value the importance of maintaining an optimum level of care and education for all children. We select our staff based on knowledge and values, vision for children and learning, and commitment to families.

We are seeking an experienced Receptionist to join our established team in our Brookvale service. This position is initially offered as a 12-month maternity leave contract. As Little Zak's Academy continues to grow, there may be an opportunity for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.

About the role:

Welcome families, visitors and prospective clients to the centre
Answer and direct phone calls, emails and enquiries
Assist with enrolment administration and tours
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Support centre management with administrative duties
Manage office supplies and general reception duties
Assist with parent communications and centre events
Ensure confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Candidates with an Early Childhood qualification may have the opportunity to support educator lunch breaks when required

About you:

Previous experience in reception, administration or customer service preferred
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, both over the phone and face to face
High level computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office suite
Strong customer service skills, with the ability to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders
Excellent time management and scheduling skills
Demonstrated active listening, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to work calmly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent) & basic knowledge of the National Quality Framework including: National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) are highly regarded but not required
