What we are looking for
- A completed Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent)
- Current/Valid Working With Children's Check (WWC) and First Aid Certificates
- Previous working experience as an Educational Leader or 2IC preferred
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills

About the Position:
As an Assistant Director, you will work alongside the Centre Director to ensure the effective management of the centre. Your core responsibilities will include the following:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the centre
- Lead, motivate and support the team
- Maintain a high-quality and performing centre
- A continuous increase in occupancy and maintaining a strong reputation across the community
- Ensure the Centre is compliant and exceeds all the regulatory requirements listed in the National Regulations and National Quality Standards, with a focus on providing an excellent level of education and care to the children.
As an Educational Leader, your core responsibilities will be to:
- Ensure that a developmental and educational appropriate program is planned and implemented for each child, which takes into consideration the school curriculum.
- Lead and mentor the team alongside the Centre Director and facilitate staff meetings, Programs Training, etc.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programmes and record improvements for future programming.
- To use the Educational Leader Logbook to document daily checks of rooms
- To follow up on improvements from the logbook.
- To continue to gain updated knowledge on the curriculum and deliver information to all other educators.
- Responding to Assessors/ Validators during the Assessment Rating at the service on how the centre documents children's learning and how the centre programs and updates knowledge on EYLF and programs.
- This role is one day off the floor and supporting the preschool room for the other days
