Full Job Description

All-Round Café Waiter/WaitressPosition Overview

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking All-Round Café Waiter/Waitress to join our café team. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service while assisting with daily café operations, including front-of-house service, food and beverage preparation, cleaning, and general duties.

Key Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service.
Take customer orders accurately and process payments through the POS system.
Serve food, coffee, beverages, and other menu items.
Prepare basic food and beverages according to café standards.
Clear and clean tables, chairs, counters, and dining areas.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the café.
Assist with opening and closing procedures.
Restock food, beverages, packaging, and other supplies.
Assist kitchen and barista staff when required.
Ensure orders are presented correctly and served promptly.
Handle customer enquiries and resolve minor customer concerns professionally.
Follow food safety, workplace health and safety, and café procedures.
Work effectively as part of a team during busy service periods.
Perform other general café duties as required.

Requirements

Previous café, restaurant, or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable, punctual, and well presented.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Availability to work weekends and public holidays when required.
RSA certificate is an advantage if alcohol is served.
Food Safety Supervisor training is an advantage where applicable.
