Join a busy and supportive ward team and play an important role in the delivery of patient care. Are you organised, approachable and someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment? About the Role

As the Patient Support Officer, you will be an important part of the ward team and the first point of contact for patients, visitors and staff.

Working closely with nurses, doctors, allied health professionals and another Administration Assistant, you will provide essential administrative support that helps the ward run smoothly and ensures patients receive a positive experience.

This is a part-time position working Tuesdays and Wednesdays and reports directly to the Administration Manager.

What will you be doing?

Your days will be varied and busy, with responsibilities including:

Preparing and managing daily reports.
Filing and maintaining accurate documentation.
Answering telephone enquiries and directing calls appropriately.
Greeting and assisting patients, visitors and staff.
Ordering stationery and other required supplies.
Supporting patient admissions and discharges.
Coordinating patient transport.
Providing general administrative support to the ward.
Responding to changing priorities and assisting the wider team as required.

No two days will necessarily be the same, so the ability to stay organised, adaptable and positive is essential.

We are looking for someone with a bright, friendly and positive disposition who enjoys working with people and contributing to a supportive team environment.

You will be someone who can confidently work independently while also knowing when to collaborate with colleagues and ask for assistance.
