Ashurst Labs is the community within AAD responsible for the firm's experimentation environment, designing, developing and managing digital platforms, products and solutions, together with the curation, ownership and governance of platforms used by Ashurst Advance. It does this through the three disciplines of software development, product management, and data science, with a big focus on utilising genAI in all our products and solutions.
About the role:
You will be a Junior Developer within Ashurst Labs, designing, developing, maintaining, and connecting applications, integrations, and AI-enabled solutions within our Microsoft ecosystems including Azure, Power platform and M365. You'll work within our cross-functional agile teams to create and support client-facing solutions and internal initiatives. As legal work is increasingly digitised, the need to structure, store and manipulate our client's data and our own content is a key differentiator. This role can be based in either Brisbane or Sydney and will report to our Manager based in Melbourne.
Responsibilities may include:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, secure applications using Microsoft Azure (Function Apps, Logic Apps, API Management, Azure SQL, Service Bus, etc.).
- Implement and manage complex integrations across Power Platform (Canvas/Modern Driven app, Power page and Dataverse ), Microsoft 365 (SharePoint development), and third-party legal-tech or enterprise systems.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, including automated deployment of Azure and Power Platform solutions; Contribute to infrastructure as code (IaC) practices for repeatable and secure deployments.
- Provide application support for Power Platform, Azure-integrated solutions and related business systems, including triaging incidents and service requests, investigating issues, and escalating complex items with clear context.

About you:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure, Power Platform and M365 development/support and integration
- Application Support: Experience supporting business applications, including triaging user issues, investigating incidents, documenting fixes, and escalating complex issues with clear context.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Azure services including Function Apps, Logic Apps, API Management, Azure AI services, Power platform development
- Programming Languages: Experience in programming languages such as Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar
- DevOps: Exposure to building and managing Azure CI/CD pipelines and Power Platform deployments using Azure DevOps; Understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.(Bicep or Terraform)
