Join Dragonfly as our Operations Planning Analyst, a newly created role within our expanding Network Support Team. This role will play a key part in building and strengthening our capacity planning capability, supporting forecasting, peak readiness, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives across our growing Australian network.

As the Operations Planning Analyst, you will play a crucial role in enhancing operational performance across our network by converting data into actionable insights and supporting the planning, deployment, and execution of operational initiatives within our delivery hubs.
A key focus of this role will be to help build Dragonfly’s capacity planning modelling capability from the ground up. You will support the development of forecasting tools, capacity models, planning frameworks, and reporting outputs that help the business understand future demand, assess operational readiness, and make informed decisions around workforce, station, and network requirements.
This is a dynamic role where your analysis will directly support forecasting, capacity planning, peak readiness, and continuous improvement efforts across the business. You will also contribute to Control Tower initiatives, ensuring effective monitoring, planning, and execution, particularly during peak periods or high-volume events.
This position is well-suited for someone who has hands-on experience in capacity planning, operational analysis, or network planning, and who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and solutions-focused environment.

Build, maintain, and enhance capacity planning models to support operational readiness across Dragonfly’s network.

Analyse historical trends, forecasted demand, volume profiles, and business growth to support short and medium-term capacity planning.

Support the development of forecasting tools, assumptions, and planning frameworks for station, workforce, transport, and network requirements.

Analyse operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement across the network.

Identify operational, network, and capacity risks and propose practical mitigation plans.

Support the Control Tower framework by contributing to its core pillars of Control, Planning, and Execution.

Participate in command centre activities during peak periods by monitoring daily station and network performance and proactively raising risks or flags.

Maintain the accuracy and integrity of key operational and network planning parameters, inputs, assumptions, and reporting outputs.

Develop insights, dashboards, reports, models, and presentations to support management decision-making.

Collaborate with Continuous Improvement and cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement operational improvements.

Support station openings, network changes, and rollout planning by working closely with Operations, Finance, Linehaul, IT, and other stakeholders.

Support management efforts related to new tools, processes, reporting, and operational innovations.

Maintain a strong understanding of station realities, operational constraints, and regional challenges.

Stay current with industry best practices in operations analysis, capacity planning, forecasting, and performance management.

Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in an operations analyst, capacity planning, network planning, logistics planning, or similar role.
Demonstrated experience working directly with capacity planning, forecasting, operational modelling, or demand planning.
Proven experience as an Operations Analyst or in a similar analyst role within operations, logistics, capacity planning, or network planning.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide practical recommendations.
Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and other data analysis or reporting tools and techniques.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable supporting change and continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is considered an asset.
Available for short-distance travel when required.
