Casual Truck Driver – Opportunity for Ongoing/Permanent Work

Queensland Specialised Scaffolding (QSS) is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Casual Truck Driver to join our team, with the opportunity to move into ongoing or permanent employment for the right person.

The role involves delivering and collecting scaffolding equipment across Brisbane and surrounding areas, assisting with loading and unloading, and operating a vehicle-mounted crane where required.

Requirements

Current MR licence as a minimum
HR licence preferred
Construction industry White Card
Experience driving trucks in construction, transport or a similar industry
Good knowledge of load restraint and safe loading practices
Ability to complete physical work, including assisting with loading and unloading
Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team

Highly Regarded

Vehicle Loading Crane ticket or relevant crane experience
Current forklift licence
Verification of Competency for crane operation
Previous experience transporting scaffolding or construction materials

Applicants without a formal crane High Risk Work Licence may still be considered where they have suitable training and experience and can successfully complete the required Verification of Competency.

About the Role

Initially offered as a casual position
Opportunity for ongoing or permanent work for the right candidate
Deliver and collect scaffolding equipment from construction sites
Safely secure, transport, load and unload materials
Operate a vehicle-mounted crane when trained and deemed competent
Complete daily vehicle checks and delivery paperwork
Maintain a clean, safe and professional truck
Communicate with supervisors, yard staff and site personnel
Hours may vary depending on workload and operational requirements

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, follows safety procedures and is willing to assist the wider team when required.

Location: Joyner, Queensland
Employment Type: Casual, with the opportunity for ongoing or permanent employment
Licence: MR minimum; HR preferred
