Small & Tall Removals is a fast-growing Brisbane-based removalist company shaking things up in the industry. We specialise in small moves, marketplace pickups, same-day deliveries, and professional cleaning services. The Role:
We're looking for a reliable and organised Admin / Operations Assistant to be the glue that holds our day-to-day operations together. This is a part-time casual position with consistent weekly hours and genuine potential to grow with the business—ideal if you're organised, tech-savvy, flexible, and comfortable working independently.

Important: This role will initially be work-from-home but will transition to a dedicated office environment as the business grows. Brisbane-based applicants only – you must be able to transition to an office location when required.

Availability Requirement – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: You must be available 16 hours per week, but with the full understanding that hours can increase significantly and rapidly. We're a fast-growing business, and hours could increase to 40+ hours per week with little notice. If you're only available for 16 hours and cannot flex to full-time hours when needed, this role is not for you. We need someone ready and able to scale with us immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing customer enquiries via phone, email and online platforms professionally and promptly
Scheduling and coordinating bookings using Movermate, including job allocation, updates and customer communication
Preparing and sending quotes, invoices and job confirmations to clients
Processing payments through Stripe and ensuring accurate recording
Managing invoicing, receipts and basic bookkeeping in Xero (reconciliation and data entry)
Monitoring outstanding invoices and following up on overdue payments
Maintaining accurate customer and job records across all systems
Coordinating with removalist staff to ensure smooth job execution and scheduling
Handling cancellations, reschedules and customer issues efficiently
Maintaining confidentiality of business and customer information
Managing Google reviews and customer feedback
Assisting with basic marketing and ad enquiries
Tracking job profitability and reporting
Occasional local travel to collect supplies and equipment
Running business-related errands to support daily operations
Providing general operational support and other duties as directed

About You:

Strong communication and organisational skills
Flexibility is ESSENTIAL – ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities, schedules, and significantly increased hours with short notice
Previous admin experience (3 years required)
Previous marketing experience (highly desirable)
Experience with Xero, Stripe and booking systems (Movermate preferred)
Must reside in Brisbane QLD – this role will transition from home office to a dedicated office space
Ability to work independently and stay organised
Reliable, responsive and detail-oriented
Reliable internet connection and ability to work from home
