To meet our growing demands, we are looking for a Senior Estimator to join our team.
The Role: Reporting to the General Manager Project Controls, purpose of the role is to support the development and delivery of capital cost estimates for the business by applying sound estimating practices to provide accurate, consistent and reliable cost estimates for project evaluation and budget planning.
This is a Brisbane based position and will require occasional travel to our field operations as required, with plenty of notice.
In addition, you will:
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to consistently role model Arrow’s values, code of conduct, safety and the environment.
- Establish positive and productive working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Model inclusive behaviours to create a safe environment where different views and perspectives are encouraged and valued.
- Prepare, review and maintain CAPEX cost estimates for project evaluation, budget planning and sanctioned projects, applying sound estimating practices to deliver estimates that are accurate, consistent and fit for business use.
- Coordinate estimating activities with internal stakeholders, Shareholders, external contractors and other contributors to support the timely delivery of cost estimates in line with Company standards. Item;
- Apply professional judgement to assess estimate inputs, assumptions and outputs, and provide clear advice on the suitability of estimates to support project and budget decisions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes, tools and standards by sharing practical insights and promoting consistent application of Company estimating practices.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders to understand estimating requirements and support the communication and presentation of cost estimates as needed.
About You
You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to contribute to a high performing-team with a second-to-none focus on safety and integrity.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
- Qualification: University / Post Graduate degree [OR] Master’s Degree [OR] Chartered Professional Qualification
- Engineering Degree and/or Certification in Cost Estimation or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years industry experience.
- Experience in roles where the organisation is the operator.
- A high degree of skill in written and oral communications.
- Experience in unconventional oil and gas industry is highly desirable.
