YOMG is heading to South Bank, Brisbane!

Born and raised in Melbourne, YOMG (Yo My Goodness) has grown from its Victorian roots into an expanding network of locations across Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

We’re now bringing the complete YOMG experience—quality burgers, loaded shakes and premium self-serve frozen yogurt—to South Bank, Brisbane.

As we continue to grow our presence in Queensland, we’re looking for an experienced and passionate Full-Time Front of House Manager to join our team at YOMG South Bank.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role from the beginning, establish exceptional front of house operations and help build YOMG’s presence in South Bank and across Queensland.

About the role

As Front of House Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management and performance of the venue’s front of house operations.

You’ll lead and develop your team, maintain operational excellence and ensure the venue operates safely, efficiently and profitably in accordance with YOMG’s standards. You’ll also be accountable for delivering exceptional service and creating a consistently positive experience for every customer.

Key responsibilities

Manage daily front of house operations to deliver exceptional customer service and operational performance.
Lead, supervise, coach and develop team members to achieve company standards and business objectives.
Build and maintain a positive, energetic and customer-focused team culture.
Manage team performance, conduct performance reviews and implement performance-management procedures when required.
Recruit, onboard, train and roster team members in line with operational requirements and labour budgets.
Monitor labour costs, productivity and roster efficiency.
Maintain high standards of service, venue presentation, cleanliness and equipment care.
Ensure compliance with food-safety, workplace health and safety, security, employment and company requirements.
Manage cash handling, banking, security procedures and loss-prevention measures.
Monitor key operational and financial indicators, including sales, labour costs and productivity.
Respond to and resolve customer feedback, complaints and operational issues professionally and effectively.
Complete operational reports, audits, compliance records and administrative tasks accurately and on time.
Implement company initiatives, promotions, procedures and system updates.
Liaise with contractors and Head Office to support effective venue operations.
Support business-growth initiatives and contribute to continuous operational improvement.

About you

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

Availability to work at least 38 hours per week.
Flexibility to work a combination of days, nights—including shifts ending around midnight—and weekends.
Experience managing a front of house or customer-service team, ideally within hospitality or a quick-service restaurant.
Proven leadership skills and the ability to develop a capable and engaged team.
A strong commitment to exceptional service and positive customer experiences.
A hands-on, self-motivated and solutions-focused approach.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A trustworthy and dependable approach, supported by excellent references.
A willingness to learn, develop and uphold YOMG’s standards.
A genuine passion for hospitality, quality food and customer service.
A current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.

Induction and training

To ensure you’re fully supported and set up for success, the successful candidate will complete their induction and training program at YOMG Chermside and/or YOMG Carindale before the South Bank store launch.

The training may be completed in one consecutive block or split across multiple visits.
