About the Role
The Aviation Safety Officer supports the Safety, Quality & Compliance department with the day-to-day management of the Safety Management System.
Tasks & responsibilities

Assist with the management of safety reports.

Assist with the collation and analysis of trend data and preparation of meeting packs for Safety Meetings

Assist in the conduct of audits and the follow-up of effective implementation of corrective actions.

Assist with internal safety investigations and the follow-up of effective implementation of corrective actions.

Assist with maintaining the Safety Database including supporting systems, processes and documentation.

Assist with the Risk Assessment Register process and the corresponding Risk Assessment of identified hazards.

Assist with the development and amendment of safety publications and safety training.

Actively participate in the Emergency Response Plan and its associated training exercises.

Act as the minute taker for all safety meetings.

Encourage a positive safety culture and promoting safety awareness amongst all levels within our organisation.

Provide timely advice and assistance on safety matters to staff at all levels within our organisation.
Qualifications & experience
-
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

High attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Experience in safety management systems in the aviation industry is desirable but not required.

Auditor Qualifications (desirable).

Background in Aviation (desirable).

ASLA currently operates an all jet engine fleet, including the B737-800BCF and flexible passenger and cargo variants of the BAe146.
