About the role

Are you an early-career accounting professional looking to build your experience in a growing and purpose-driven organisation? LDK Seniors Living is seeking a Junior Home Care Accountant to support the financial operations of our Home Care business.

Reporting to the Home Care Finance Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, supporting claims and reporting activities, and ensuring Home Care client accounts are managed efficiently. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your accounting career while contributing to services that positively impact the lives of older Australians.

Role responsibilities

Process accounts payable, accounts receivable and banking transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain and reconcile individual Support at Home (SaH) client accounts.
Assist with preparation and submission of Support at Home (SaH), Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and DVA Community Nursing claims.
Support the preparation and distribution of monthly Support at Home statements.
Manage receipting activities and accounts receivable collections.
Perform bank reconciliations and assist with month-end processes.
Contribute to financial reporting, analysis and other finance support activities.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Assist with finance-related projects and other ad hoc tasks as required.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Relevant accounting qualification with 1–3 years' experience in an accounting, finance or bookkeeping role.
Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy and data processing skills, with hands-on experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and invoice management.
Proficient in Xero and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
Well-organised and capable of working independently, managing competing priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in aged care, home care, community services, or a similar industry would be highly regarded.
