We are seeking a skilled Maintenance & Grounds Officer for our Teviot Villas Retirement Living, who is committed to maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facility through proactive maintenance and repair work.
Location: Boonah - QLD
Employment Type: Part-time | 8am to 1pm Thursday & Friday (20 hrs fortnight)
Remuneration: $28.93 - $31.11 ph + Super + Salary packaging + Access to staff discounts & benefits
About The Role:
In this hands-on role, you’ll manage the day-to-day maintenance of buildings, gardens, and grounds, ensuring everything is safe, tidy, and well-kept.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- General maintenance and upkeep of lawns, gardens, and common areas
- Common area cleaning required
- Performing scheduled preventative maintenance
- Identifying and reporting new risks while working to minimise existing ones.
- Undertaking administrative tasks related to maintenance operations.
- Managing external contractors and minor building projects
- Using equipment and materials safely and responsibly
- Your work will help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
- Gardening experience essential
About You:
- Experience in commercial maintenance and groundskeeping within an aged care setting or a similar environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow safety procedures and preventative maintenance schedules
- A team player with a proactive attitude, proven ability to demonstrate a customer service focus.
- Valid Police Check or NDIS clearance and Queensland Driver’s Licence
