Your impact
You will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability, safety, and performance of refrigeration and site infrastructure, ensuring essential facilities operate efficiently to support site operations.
Working within Site Services, you will contribute to achieving operational targets through proactive maintenance, effective troubleshooting, and a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
As part of our team you will
Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on refrigeration systems and associated infrastructure- Troubleshoot faults and undertake breakdown and emergency repairs as required
- Maintain systems including chillers, cool rooms, freezers, ice machines and air conditioning units
- Ensure all works are completed in line with safety, environmental, and statutory requirements
- Participate in on-call roster and emergency response activities
- Coordinate and liaise with contractors and stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify hazards and actively contribute to a strong safety culture
Prerequisites for your success in the role
ARCTICK licence with full RAC endorsement- Electrical licence (essential)
- Demonstrated experience in refrigeration maintenance, ideally within mining or heavy industry
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
- Experience working with maintenance teams and contractors
- A mature, reliable and proactive approach, with the capability to step into leadership responsibilities when required
- Sound knowledge of safety, environmental, and statutory compliance requirements
- Effective communication and time management skills
Highly regarded
- High Risk Work Licences (EWP, Forklift, Dogging)
- Experience with SAP or similar maintenance systems
- Planning and scheduling experience
- Eligibility for or willingness to obtain Schedule 26 / Statutory Supervisor appointment, including completion of required training
Your work environment
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity at Newmont’s Boddington Gold Mine in Western Australia, working within a large-scale open pit operation on an 8/6 roster. Village accommodation is available for the ideal candidate.
You’ll join a supportive, site-based technical and operations team, gaining hands-on exposure to modern mining systems, equipment, and autonomous haulage technologies, in an environment focused on safety, performance, and continuous improvement.
