Successful applicants may:
- Upskill on the job with two years of supported teaching experience, or
- Apply for a Teach and Learn Scholarship (TAS) and receive financial support while completing recognised university-level study, while working.

The new Wentworth Point High School (WPHS) is located at Burroway Road Wentworth Point. The high rise six-level school sits in a high-density property area that is still being developed, comprising only apartment residences. The school commenced operations in 2025 with year 7 including three Autism (AU) support classes. In 2026 it has year 7 and 8 with five Autism (AU) support classes. Each year the school will grow with a new year 7 cohort commencing. The school has end-of-trip facilities for staff and is in close proximity to public transport options. Phase two of construction commences this year with a hall and modifications to the playground. Phase 2 also provides a shared facilities with the local community being a rear field and carpark. When complete the school is designed to cater for 1530 students with an average year group of 255 students. The school has close links with Wentworth Point Public School, as a partner school, as well as sharing a geographical boundary. The school has diverse feeder public schools including Wentworth Point Public School, Newington Public School, Concord West Public School, Auburn North Public School and Victoria Avenue Public School. The school has a highly diverse student population. Specialist TAS spaces include a level that contains wood and metal workshops and storage, a laser cutter and general learning spaces. There is another level for Food and Textiles with 2 junior kitchen workshops, 1 commercial kitchen workshop, 2 textile workshops, 2 general learning spaces near the kitchens and a bistro.

Approval to teach Technology Mandatory (Years 7-, Food Technology, and Textiles and Design/Textile Technology or preparedness to retrain by undertaking further study or via on–the job experience supported by the NSW Department of Education.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a growing team to support design, implementation and evaluation of innovative differentiated TAS teaching and learning programs.
Demonstrated ability to manage active practical learning environments that ensure safety, high student engagement and efficient resource management.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
