Role Description:
BAE Systems are recruiting for Boilermakers and Welders to relocate to Adelaide.
Successful candidates will be offered relocation assistance to aid in your move to Adelaide. Including:
- Flight to Adelaide for successful candidate
- Temporary accommodation (up to 4 weeks)
- `Homesearch' Program - A virtual program that will help you select a suburb to live in and provide assistance with your rental application
- $7,500 AUD (before tax) - To be paid in first pay period post commencement
- 2 days paid relocation leave (within first 4 weeks).

Commencement rate - $51.92 AUD
Rate increases
- 3-months post commencement ($54.13) * #
- 9-months post commencement ($56.35) *
- Annual 5% rate increases in July 2027 & July 2028
- Rate increases are subject to capability and performance reviews

Core Duties:
- Undertake Tasks and Duties as directed by Production Supervision and or Trades Trainer within bounds of current competence.
- Attend and complete relevant on-the-job training as required
- Properly maintain materials, tools and equipment.
- Strive to continuously improve teamwork, processes and effectiveness in the work area.
- Adhere to the BAE Maritime Australia policies and management practices.
Essential Skills:
- Fabrication experience with MIG or Flux Core Welding
- Ability to read drawings
- Strong safety focus and enhancing the site safety environment.
- Strong time keeping abilities.
- Excellent communication.
The Hunter Class Frigate Team
The Hunter Class Frigate Program is transforming Australia's shipbuilding industry by supporting the building of a world-class, continuous naval shipbuilding capability for our nation.
The Hunter class frigates are based on BAE Systems' Type 26 Global Combat Ship design, modified to meet the Royal Australian Navy's operational requirements.
Each warship will feature an acoustically-quiet hull and unique sonar capabilities, modular digital design and open systems architecture to facilitate through-life support and upgrades as new technology develops.
