We are currently seeking 2 creative roles: a Social Media Officer and a Community Engagement Officer to join our Marketing team on a part-time basis or 1 full-time role. These roles offer a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact in our community-focused organization.

Social Media Officer
About the role

Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
Create compelling content for various platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
Responsible for planning, creating and publishing social media content and campaigns that support marketing and strategic plans, and the business objectives of the Caloundra RSL.
Monitor social media channels, respond to inquiries, and engage with our online community.
Analyze social media insights to optimize content and improve performance.
Collaborate with the Marketing team to align social media activities with overall marketing goals.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in social media and digital marketing.

Your contribution

Demonstrated in-depth understanding, knowledge, and experience in managing multiple channels of a social media strategy including advertising and analytics.
Proven experience in managing social media platforms for businesses or organizations.
Excellent copywriting skills, adapting to brand tone of voice and utilising storytelling skills to make information more understandable and compelling.
Demonstrated experience in developing a range of multi-media content that is creative, accurate, and results-driven for social media.
Knowledge of social media management tools and analytics platforms.
Passion for community engagement and promoting local initiatives.
1-2 years experience in a social media role preferably in the Hospitality Industry experience

Community Engagement Officer
About the role

Develop and implement strategies to enhance community engagement and involvement with Caloundra RSL.
Plan and coordinate community events, programs, promotions and marketing initiatives that align with the clubs values.
Build and maintain relationships with local community groups, stakeholders, and partners.
Support social media activities including planning out social media feeds, developing creative ideas to build engagement, sourcing, designing or taking images, designing social tiles, writing captions, scheduling and community management.
Act as a liaison between Caloundra RSL and the broader community, fostering positive relationships.
Collaborate with internal teams to promote community-driven initiatives and projects.
Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of community engagement activities.

Your contribution

Experience in community engagement, outreach, or related fields.
Demonstrated experience in the development of marketing, promotion, and communication content is essential.
Demonstrated copywriting skills across blogs, advertising copy, web copy, social media, and public relations.
Demonstrated experience in developing a range of multi-media content that is creative, accurate, and results-driven for web, social media, blogs, press releases, EDMs, and a broad range of marketing material.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse groups of people.
Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Knowledge of local Sunshine Coast community resources and networks (preferred).
Degree in Marketing, Communications or related discipline or equivalent education and experience
1-2 years experience in a Marketing role preferably in the Hospitality Industry experience
