This isn’t a stepping-stone role or a short-term stop. It’s a solid, hands-on position in a busy dealership were doing the job properly, helping your mates, and turning out good work is the expectation.
As part of the Hinterland Motors Group, you’ll be joining a long-established, award-winning dealership that’s been serving the Gold Coast and Scenic Rim for over 40 years. Our customer-first approach starts in the workshop, with solid processes, realistic workloads, and standards that don’t get compromised.
About the role:
Reporting to the Service Manager, this role is suited to an experienced technician who leads by example on the tools and takes ownership of the quality of work delivered in the workshop. You’ll play an important role in maintaining high standards, supporting the team, and ensuring vehicles are serviced and repaired the first time correctly.
What you’ll be doing:
- Accurately identifying, reporting, and repairing service, repair, and warranty concerns
- Carry out minor and major services and repairs to manufacturer and dealership standards
- Performing road testing and final quality control checks
- Maintaining a safe, organised workshop environment and correct use of tools and equipment
- Contributing positively to team culture and overall customer experience
What skills will you bring:
- Full Australian Trade Motor Mechanic qualifications
- Toyota experience is highly regarded but not essential
- Knowledge and mechanical experience to service, repair, and diagnose across a wide range of makes and models
- Ability to problem solve, work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Able to work autonomously while supporting the wider team
- Organised, disciplined, and reliable in approach to work
- Comfortable working under pressure while maintaining quality standards
- Clear communication skills and professional attitude
- Current manual driver’s licence
- The right to work in Australia
