Full Job Description

As a wholly owned subsidiary of Re.Group , we are leaders in managing and facilitating operations that focus on recycling for the Container Deposit Schemes (CDS) in Australia. Convenient locations plus new technology enables a seamless recycling experience both at fully staffed depots and Express collection points.

At the heart of Re.Group is our focus on positive community impact. We collaborate with charities, private organisations, and the Government to benefit local communities.

As Assistant Depot Manager you will oversee the smooth operation of the depot, ensuring you and your team provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers sort their recyclable products and providing them with the correct refund.

Your responsibilities will include:

Support the Depot Manager with the day-to-day smooth operation of your Depot
Ensure customers feel welcomed and assisted with their recycling products to inspire return customers
Leading a small team to deliver outstanding customer service
Manual counting of containers and not afraid of manual handling
Sorting recyclable items into their correct categories
Cash handling, ensuring accurate record keeping
Ensure staff are adhering to all health and safety procedures and highlighting any hazards/faults/risks
Continuously looking for opportunities to improve efficiency and increasing customer satisfaction

About you:

Previous customer service, hospitality, or retail experience would be highly preferred
Previous experience leading a small or medium team will be highly desirable
Knowledge in using Microsoft teams, outlook & excel
A current driver’s license
