Our partnered host business is seeking an out-of-trade apprentice (2nd or 3rd year) who’s ready to grow into a leadership role. This position offers the opportunity to mentor and support a current 1st year apprentice, while continuing to develop your own skills on the tools.It’s a great opportunity for someone looking to step into a new environment, gain leadership experience, or align with a business where they can truly progress.
As part of this apprenticeship, you’ll complete a Certificate III in Carpentry while gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of residential construction, setting you up for a long-term career in the trade.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Working across all stages of residential carpentry, from structural work through to finishing touches.
- Measuring, cutting, and assembling materials to build and install frameworks and structures.
- Installing doors, windows, flooring, and detailed finishing work.
- Reading and interpreting plans to bring builds to life.
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and a safe work environment on site.
You’ll be working within a small, tight-knit team on residential projects, giving you exposure to a wide variety of carpentry tasks and the opportunity to learn directly from experienced tradespeople.
How to Get Started:
- A valid White Card or willingness to obtain one.
- Own transport and drivers license (P plates are fine).
- A strong work ethic and genuine interest in carpentry.
