Work days: Tuesday & Wednesday at Bacchus Marsh VIC

About Reverence Community Care

Reverence Community Care is a growing multidisciplinary allied health provider delivering high-quality, person-centred services across Victoria. We support children, adolescents, and adults with a range of disabilities and developmental needs through Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Behaviour Support, Psychology, Early Childhood Supports, and Allied Health Assistant services.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Allied Health Assistant (Occupational Therapy) to join our growing team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with a Senior Occupational Therapist, who will provide regular supervision and mentoring through both telehealth and in-person support. You will deliver therapy programs across our Bacchus Marsh and Williams Landing clinics, as well as within participants' homes, schools, childcare centres, and community settings.

This position is ideal for someone passionate about supporting individuals to achieve greater independence while developing valuable clinical skills within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

Under the delegation and supervision of the Occupational Therapist, you will:

Deliver therapy programs developed by the Occupational Therapist.
Implement individualised intervention plans.
Support participants in developing:
Fine motor skills
Gross motor skills
Functional independence
Self-care skills
Emotional regulation strategies
Play and social participation
School readiness skills
Community participation
Assist with therapy groups and intensive programs.
Prepare therapy resources and equipment.
Document participant progress accurately after each session.
Provide feedback to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Travel to participant homes, schools, kindergartens and community settings.
Assist with clinic-based assessments where appropriate.
Support families and carers in implementing therapy strategies.
Maintain participant confidentiality and professional documentation.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Passionate about working with people with disabilities.
Friendly, energetic and compassionate.
Reliable and organised.
Able to work independently while following therapy plans.
Comfortable working with children and adults.
A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
Willing to travel across service areas.

Essential Requirements

Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or currently completing), or
Relevant undergraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology or a related allied health discipline.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
Current Working with Children Check.
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
Current Australian Driver's Licence.
Reliable motor vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
Ability to travel between clinics and community appointments.
Full Australian working rights.

Desirable

Previous experience supporting children with developmental delays.
Experience working in disability services.
Knowledge of the NDIS.
Experience implementing therapy programs.
Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
