Full Job Description

The role: Paralegal / Legal Assistant

Working with the Principal and Graduate Solicitor

Flexible 2 to 3 days

Typically, your duties will include but are not limited to:-

Liaising with new clients and taking instructions
Answering Further and Better Particulars
Filing online Supreme Court , District Court, and Personal Injury Commission
Completing forms such as Medicare , Centrelink and GIPA for clients
Research of recent decisions and accessing /collating subpoenaed material
All usual admin duties i.e. answer telephone, diarising, copying , filing , typing.

About you

This role would suit a 4th or 3rd Year Law Student looking to gain hands on experience in a growing and friendly workplace. To secure this role, you will have the following qualities:-

The ability and confidence to deal directly with clients
A high degree of initiative, dedication, independence and organisation
Strong academic results
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work to deadlines
Excellent attention to detail is a must
Prior legal assistant experience an advantage.
