About us:

Exclusive Certifiers and Building Consultants offer a range of services, specialising in construction approvals for residential developments in Class 1 and 10. Managed by leading industry professionals, Exclusive Certifiers and Building Consultants offers a complete package to ensure clients get their next construction project smoothly underway.

About the role:

We are seeking a Building Certification Administrative Assistant to join our small, collaborative team Monday to Friday. The role would suit someone who has an interest in the construction and building compliance industry or has relevant experience.

In the position, you will provide essential support to ensure a smooth and streamlined process of daily office activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organised with strong communication and time management skills. High proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer literacy are essential as this is a predominantly computer-based position.

Key Responsibilities:

Project co-ordination, delegating tasks and setting up projects
Assist in completing accurate data entry through and prepare Construction Certificates, Complying Development Certificates and Occupation Certificates through BCS
Oversee and submit approvals to the NSW Planning Portal
Provide general administrative support and assist with a variety of ad hoc office tasks, including generating, sending and following up on fee proposals and invoices
Communicate professionally with stakeholders, including clients, architects, builders and council representatives – both face-to-face and via phone

Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience in an administrative role or working for a building surveyor/council favourable.
Familiar with BCS and the NSW Planning Portal is desirable, but not essential.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
High attention to detail and confident liaising with stakeholder in person and over the phone.
A proactive attitude and willingness to support a small team.

Training will be provided.
