About the role

We’re looking for a commercially minded Territory Sales Manager / Business Development Manager to own and grow business across the Rockhampton territory and surrounding region.

This is an exciting opportunity to manage an established territory, build strong customer relationships, and identify new business opportunities that drive both sales and margin growth. You’ll work closely with customers, suppliers, branch teams and internal stakeholders to develop tailored solutions and deliver outstanding service.

This role suits a proactive, energetic sales professional who enjoys hunting for new business, protecting existing accounts, and making a real difference in a market with strong potential.

A bit about your role

Develop and grow sales across the Rockhampton territory and surrounds
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, branch teams and other key stakeholders
Identify new business opportunities and convert leads into long-term accounts
Prepare tailored sales proposals, presentations and solutions
Drive margin growth as well as revenue
Use CRM as the central source of customer information and activity
Promote Rexel’s multi-channel offering, including branch, webstore, email and phone
Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes

Qualifications

You are a driven sales professional with a strong commercial mindset and a genuine focus on relationship building. You thrive on activity, accountability and results, and you know how to influence customers, solve problems and win business.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

Proven experience in BDM, account management or territory sales
A track record of achieving sales and margin targets
Strong customer relationship and negotiation skills
The ability to work autonomously and manage a territory effectively
Experience in electrical wholesaling, trades, building, construction or a related commercial environment highly regarded
A current, clean driver’s licence
