NSLHD - NSW Voluntary Assisted Dying Service located at Royal North Shore Hospital
What you'll be doing
The NSW Voluntary Assisted Dying Support Service (NVSS) supports the delivery of VAD to the NSW community via:

The VAD Pharmacy service; responsible for procuring and distributing the VAD substance and providing expert pharmaceutical advice, education, and support.

The VAD Care Navigator Service; responsible for providing consistent and accurate information about voluntary assisted dying to the health system and wide community and providing support for those wishing to access VAD.

The VAD Access Service; providing second tier medical support to ensure equity of access to those in regional or rural NSW in circumstances where local VAD practitioners may not be available.
The Quality and Safety Officer, NSW Voluntary Assisted Dying (NVSS) is a key role working with the Director, NVSS and Operations Manager, NVSS to develop, coordinate and oversee the NVSS quality and safety program and accreditation process. The Quality and Safety Officer, NVSS will also oversee activities of the NSLHD VAD Local Support Team (VAD-LST).
An essential component of the position is to support the coordination and compilation of documentary evidence for accreditation requirements and contribute to monitoring compliance with policies and procedures to promote effective records management, including records destruction.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

Tertiary qualifications in relevant field and/or relevant work experience.

Describe your experience working with the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards. How have you applied these standards in practice, and what approach have you taken to ensure they are embedded within a service?

Provide an example of a quality improvement initiative you have led or contributed to. Outline the problem, your approach, and the measurable outcomes.

Provide an example of how you have adapted your communication style to engage effectively with different stakeholders, including both clinical and non-clinical staff.
