The Opportunity
Albany Creek Retirement Living is a well-established retirement community based in Brisbane’s North spread across 11 hectares of landscaped grounds. Our onsite facilities such as swimming pools and tennis courts provide a rich range activities for residents to enjoy each day. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care, medication assistance, social support and clinical leadership to residents living within their Aveo home. Our Registered Nurses have a strong focus on clinical standards & decision making, supporting fellow care team members and building connections with residents in a community-style environment.
This is a permanent part-time position working Monday to Friday 7am-3pm
Your Impact
- Work independently within resident units to provide in-home nursing support, including medication assistance, wound care, personal hygiene care and general clinical assistance
- Provide care, tailored to the resident's needs in line with their current care plans
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as family members, paramedics and GPs, while providing internal supervision to fellow care team members
- Complete administration tasks, ensuring resident notes are up to date in our Care Management System (Alayacare)
- Attend to any first aid and medical emergencies in a calm and professional manner
- Follow all Aveo OH&S policies and procedures and report any safety, security and resident incidents
What you'll bring
- Minimum 12 months experience as a Registered Nurse, in a similar setting, with a passion for community care, independence and wellbeing
- Friendly, adaptable and proactive attitude, with a passion for being part of a community environment
- Strong communication skills, with a genuine ability to build meaningful connections with residents and confidence to engage with family members
- Division 1 AHPRA registration, current CPR certificate and two COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
- Valid driver's license + vehicle (highly regarded)
