Full Job Description

HAPI and NORMA are seeking a passionate and skilled Qualified Chef to join our team and work along side our Head Chef, Tess Rafferty, in a hatted restaurant. This role is ideal for a chef who is committed to great food, great wine and delivering an exceptional dining experience. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and involved in maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and present dishes to restaurant standards
Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation across all menu items
Maintain exceptional food hygiene and safety standards
Manage prep levels to ensure an efficient service
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
Minimise food waste and contribute to effective cost control
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the restaurant and kitchen
Work collaboratively with the kitchen crew to achieve excellent service every day
Support and mentor our junior kitchen crew
Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures
Work across both restaurants and be exposed to modern Italian and Asian cuisine

Essential Qualifications & Experience

Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent recognised qualification)
Excellent knife skills and food preparation techniques
Thorough understanding of food safety standards and HACCP principles
Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
