About Snapdragon Support Services

Snapdragon Support Services is a growing NDIS provider committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred supports to individuals living with disability, psychosocial disabilities, and complex support needs.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner / Clinical Lead to lead and oversee all Behaviour Support services across the organisation.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership position responsible for the clinical oversight, governance, quality assurance, and compliance of all Behaviour Support services delivered by Snapdragon Support Services.

You will provide leadership and supervision to Behaviour Support Practitioners while maintaining your own caseload of participants with complex behavioural presentations. The role will involve working closely with participants, families, support teams, allied health professionals, schools, accommodation providers, and external stakeholders to achieve meaningful outcomes.

You will play a key role in ensuring all Behaviour Support services meet NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements and align with best-practice Positive Behaviour Support principles.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee all Behaviour Support services across the organisation.
Provide supervision, mentoring, and clinical support to Behaviour Support Practitioners.
Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments.
Develop and review Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans.
Support participants with complex and high-risk behavioural presentations.
Provide guidance regarding restrictive practices and reduction strategies.
Review and approve Behaviour Support documentation.
Maintain oversight of NDIS Commission reporting requirements.
Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and relevant legislation.
Participate in participant care team meetings and case conferences.
Support organisational growth and service development.
Promote a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

About You

You are a highly experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner with strong leadership skills and a passion for supporting people with complex needs.

You possess excellent clinical reasoning, strong report-writing skills, and the ability to mentor and develop others.

You are confident managing challenging situations while maintaining a person-centred, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach.

Essential Requirements

Registration as a Core or Advanced Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Commission.
Minimum 5 years' experience in Behaviour Support.
Minimum 2 years' experience supervising or mentoring Behaviour Support Practitioners or clinical staff.
Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with:
Autism Spectrum Disorder
Intellectual Disability
Psychosocial Disability
Complex Trauma
Mental Health Conditions
Forensic Presentations
High-Risk Behaviours
Restrictive Practices
Extensive experience completing:
Functional Behaviour Assessments
Interim Behaviour Support Plans
Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans
Restrictive Practice documentation and reporting
Extensive knowledge of the NDIS Commission Behaviour Support Portal.
Strong understanding of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements.
Strong understanding of the NDIS Code of Conduct.
Strong understanding of Restrictive Practice legislation and reporting obligations.
Excellent written communication and report-writing skills.
Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree or higher in one of the following disciplines:

Psychology
Social Work
Occupational Therapy
Speech Pathology
Nursing
Education
Human Services
Applied Behaviour Analysis
Other relevant Allied Health discipline recognised by the NDIS Commission

Mandatory Requirements

NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner Registration.
NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Working with Children Check (NSW).
Current National Police Check.
Current Driver Licence.
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.
Professional Registration (where applicable).
