Full Job Description

Daintree Health is a vibrant, private billing, primary health medical centre based in West Wodonga. We are seeking to recruit two enthusiastic, experienced, self-motivated medical receptionists/ administrators to join our healthcare team.

This position will be permanent part-time (15-20 hours per week), with flexible options available depending on patient demand, hours or operation, and future growth of the clinic across several areas of specialisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team of friendly and hardworking individuals, delivering great patient service. This is a fast paced role at the front desk of a busy medical practice and would suit an applicant able to manage multiple tasks with confidence.

We are a multi-disciplinary practice with 7 permanent GPs and a number of visiting specialists and allied health professionals. We also pride ourselves on our professional team of nurses managing and operating our chronic disease and preventative care management programs

Role will involve:

Greeting and interacting with patient face-to-face and over the phone;
Scheduling and managing patient appointments;
Patient billing and processing of payments
patient records;
General administrative duties;
Medicare and other services claims;
Banking (as required);
Petty Cash management;
Operational Procedures and regular updates; and
Participation in the annual Accreditation of the clinic;

The successful candidate will require:

Experience in medical reception/ administration;
Experience in Best Practice is desirable;
Excellent time management and organisational skills;
Reliability and a strong work ethic;
Ability to work both independently with initiative; and as part of a team;
Excellent verbal communication skills;
Enthusiastic and positive attitude;
Strong personal presentation;
Confidentiality in all dealings with patient information;
Strong customer service focus;
Confident and energetic;
Ability to build professional rapport with patients and doctors;
A close working relationship with the Practice Manager
