About the opportunity:
Agile Mining has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Adelaide. Reporting to the Systems and Mine Accountant Lead, this role:
· examines the general ledger to maintain accuracy and integrity of data, complete reconciliations and prepare financial reports that comply with statutory requirements;
· is responsible for processing Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and other related matters for all Agile entities, including preparing and submitting all statutory requirements;
· assists staff, management and external stakeholders with all financial, payroll, accounts and banking related queries;
· assists in maintaining the ERP, identifying, recommending and implementing new modules as required, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data within the system; and
· contributes to reviews and updates of financial policies and procedures.
Flexibility of working hours and periodic trips to our mining operation sites are required.

You will have excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to multi-task and shift priorities to respond to changing requirements. This role requires someone with a high level of attention to detail and numeracy and a strong continuous improvement background.
In addition, you will have the following qualifications and experience:
· Relevant Bachelor level or higher financial/accounting qualification.
· Financial accounting experience including preparation of journals and calculation of accruals, prepayments and provisions.
· General ledger and bank reconciliations experience with the ability to investigate discrepancies.
· Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to produce, interpret and convey data to senior management.
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
· Demonstrated Industrial Award interpretation, taxation and statutory obligations knowledge.
· Extensive experience using MS Office products, including Excel, and experience in and aptitude for working within ERP systems.
· Process improvement experience with the ability to review and update relevant policies and procedures.
· CA/CPA qualification (or working towards).
· Mining Award, Clerical Award and Professional Award knowledge.
· Previous experience using Pronto ERP system.
· Experience in implementing systems or new ERP modules.
· Experience in training employees in the functionality of ERP systems.
Pre-employment
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a National Police Check, a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening and other checks to work at a mine site.

Pay: From $95,000.00 per year
