Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, we are seeking a Financial Accountant who will support the wider F inance function by delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and tax obligations, and contributing to strong internal controls and business decision-making.
- Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger records across the Group.
- Manage the Group’s Fixed Asset Management System, including asset additions, depreciation, and disposals for accounting and tax purposes.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journals, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances where required .
- Support the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS/AASB standards.
- Assist with G roup reporting requirements and consolidation activities, including inter-company eliminations.
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation and responding to information requests.
- Assist with preparation and lodgement of GST, FBT, and other taxation requirements.
- Support corporate tax compliance and liaise with external tax advisors as required .
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal financial requirements.
- Contribute to finance projects, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives across the Group.
- Promote behaviours aligned with Sarah Group values and QHSE standards.
